Saturday (note change of day!) 5 January, Mosedale organised by Kate & George
nb. Following the AGM most meets will be on Satuday rather than Sunday as previous.
Start 9:30 at the end of the tarmac road going west from Mosedale village at GR NY326326. If you carry straight on on the gravel road a short distance there are several spaces at the side of the road for parking. The gravel roads to left and right are not good for cars!
Route is up Grainsghyll Beck to the mine workings then up Brandy Ghyll and onto Carrock Fell and view the iron age fort(?) before returning along the ridge to High Pike. Continue traversing the ridge over Lingy hills, Knott, Little Calva and Great Calva then descend to join the Cumbrian way back to the cars.
